All byyyy myselllllfffff...
Mar. 17th, 2006 03:24 pmI'm singing - on my own for the first time, ooh scary! - at a recital on Thursday 6th April. It's arranged by my singing teacher Karin Thyselius, herself an excellent soprano, and it's at the Swedish Seamen's Church on Lower Road, Bermondsey (near Canada Water tube). I'll be singing two pieces solo; Che faro senza Euridice, and Traume, a beautiful Wagner song. Plus the Lakme duet (yeah yeah, British Airways!), and the Là Ci Darem La Mano duet from Don Giovanni. Karin hasn't decided yet if it's a sell tickets for charity gig, or an ask for small donations afterwards, but if anyone would like to come it would be appreciated.
Did I mention - scary? It's all very well being buried in the middle of the alto section, 'cos if you have a few off moments you can, erm, make like a goldfish until you recover. Not so when it's just yooooooo.
ant_girl for one is going to understand this.
