Today we paid actual genuine money to learn how to clean out a stable and groom a horse, whilst being rained on most heavily, interspersed with comedic Apprentice-style abuse from Noel the riding instructor. I find the sight of [livejournal.com profile] forbinproject in a flat tweed cap, pushing a barrowfull of muck, strangely sexy. Possibly it's the horny-handed son of toil thing. With an emphasis on the horny. He needs a tweed jacket - or a Barbour?

I am very bored of not being able to close my mouth properly, but it should get sorted this Thursday when I get the offending cracked molar removed under a general anaesthetic. The consultant told me in avuncular but stern but fashion that chances of making it into work the following day were zero. (I failed to mention that I'm going to try to get to opera class on Friday evening.) Although bored, mainly am grateful that I have probably been saved from Hamster House of Horror misery similar to that experienced by [livejournal.com profile] nyarbaggytep in recent times.

Finally, him'n'me have had a bit of an epiphany and throttled back on (in?) the red queen's race. He's deferred half his CIPD, I've abandoned the chorus whilst the opera course is still going on, and we're now not going to Mongolia until next year. Long story - crapness of Chinese and Mongolian governments boded ill for success of holiday - sometimes the universe tells you what is the right thing to do, and this is it.

We are starting to spend more time at home... and are able to do things spontaneously... Currently in holding mode waiting for existing commitments to subside and trying hard not to let new ones take over.

Sometimes young Jedi, it is better to do nothing.
Crapness about the tooth thing, I hope it all goes well I think you are mad as a bag of beans to contemplate singing after the little blighter is removed, but you mun be made of sterner stuff than mi sen.
And you don't need to get him a barbour you need to get him stripped to the waist *sheesh*

Sudden things doing are good things, sometimes. I get the feeling you know that though.

Flat tweed caps do it for me too. A light sweat caused by mild physical effort, plus straw - I'll draw a discrete veil, if you don't mind.

Best of luck with teeth.

Huzzah for coming up for air :)

Also thanks for the image I now have of [livejournal.com profile] forbinproject as Sean Bean when he played a gardener. That's going to be a difficult one to shake...
