Apart from Maelstrom, what other LRP games are you intending to play this year?

BTW, have just found the Forever's Destiny website. Anyone know who is running it? Ian Green?

[Edited: Or indeed, including Maelstrom.]

Barring an outbreak of a notifiable livestock plague in Derbyshire, I am sad to report that I will be spending my August Bank Holiday in Locko Park.

Hear the screams of those trapped inside...

Probably just Maelstrom. Although it's good stuff, it's not scratching my itch to stand in a shield line and smash all who oppose me, though. It's possible I'll be tempted to something more overtly martial if the opportunity arises.

Nothing planned with rubber weapons and camping for the foreseeable.

We will be attending the diamond jubilee celebrations for Her Majesty the Queen, Empress of India.

ETA: Agree about missing the sociability side of it. Do you good people have any free time coming up?

Simon doesn't, due to his CIPD course eating his annual leave. However, I'm about to move jobs, and will have more leave again after March.

I'll probably be cutting my Maelstrom down to two, while continuing to LT.

I'm sure it's not Ian - the Manchester rumour mill had it that he'd left the club around the same time he came out. I think Phil Morgan's still involved, but I haven't been along since SoS split from NV or paid much attention so I'm not very up to date - can easily find out for you though.

I'm pretty sure it's Phil as well. I was chatting to a couple of FD guys a few weeks ago, and his name definitely came up.

It's Phil, or at least it was last time I looked. Ian hasn't been involved since it became FD.

Maelstrom for us, hopefully Skullduggery, Dark Age Vampire and a number of trips to Locoko park. If you see anything interesting looking though do send me links I'm looking for new things.

Watch this space. In a bit.

I am tied up with another big project at the moment but it's unlikely to see fruition until 2009 earliest.

Smaller side projects may get an airing before then. I have a hankering after Planetary Romance, and may do something about it.

Of all the people in the world, you are the person who owes me a freeform least. In fact, it would be the other way round :) Not that I'd complain or owt.

Probably just Maelstrom here, I may do some Cataclysm too if I can (a) afford it, and (b) get the rest of the group interested again.

I found their website via Google - including a splendid picture of you with horns - but it's not got much else on it. Who runs it, and what's it like?

It's run by a chap called "Nick" (I don't recall his surname I'm afraid) and also Pete Williams. A lot of the old LT Dragons crew go along to it (as you can doubtless see from the photographs) and its structure is pretty much a huge game of "Let's pretend" with a loose haze of rules just in case someone tries to break Rule 7.

I did have a (minor?) falling out with Nick over a number of issues earlier in the year, none of which had any direct relation to the game. So chances are that I won't go back if it's just me.

Possibly Easter Maelstrom.

Also I have a new friend on my opera course who I think needs LRP in her life.

Blockers:
a. supposed to be singing in a concert on Good Friday that I have to get out of
b. need to get my head round going when Simon can't due to studying, and doesn't want to in any case (yes we do tend to be joined at the hip)
c. camping bleuughhh

Viking used to have a home at http://www.larp-conspiracy.co.uk/viking/ but the latest stuff is dribbling out through Rule 7.

Artificer allegedly lives at http://www.lalenth.com/ but I've only heard about it by word-of-mouth. Mogs, Chi and Matt Heath go (amongst others). Rule7 is again central to their communication strategy.

Vikings went slightly tits up when I retired. It was supposed to run last week, but the other organisers have had real-life hit them hard recently, so the game was pulled in the interests of non-crapness.
Theres a new writing and admin team now, so should run late in 2008.

Chi speaks very highly of Artificer, so it would be worth asking her. It sounds very high-angst (which I think is your bag innit?)

I boycotted it out of hand cos they had an OOC gender restriction on one of their classes and I'm funny like that.

I share your nostalgia.

Since giving up LRP (actually, more specifically LT but as that was the only system I did it boils down to the same thing) I miss seeing the people that I only ever got to see in a muddy field.

If I didn't have such an apathy for LT I would probably go back just for the sociability of it ... just a pity that there is not a solid/regular system in Ireland.

... maybe I will make one (but then I wouldn't have the luxury of just enjoying playing *SIGH*)
