I am so happy that our guests took such beautiful photos and shared them with us. Because between DHL and the University of London post room, the official ones have disappeared without trace.
Eep! That's terrible. I hope that from amongst all the various photos taken by the people who were there you can piece together a selection that does it all justice. :-(
Olly and Chiara have (separately) made us albums which are both photographic works of art, and capture the spirit of the day, and to be honest mean a lot more than whatever the 'official' photographer has done. I'm surprisingly less bothered than I thought I'd be.
DHL didn't put a contact name on the parcel. The loading bay signed for it, and sent it to the post room. The post room delivered the parcel (so they say) to the University Information Centre, who get all the mystery post - of which there is a lot The Information Centre say they've not seen it. You can imagine how much mail goes through the main UoL system. The loading bay sign for 50+ courier deliveries a day, so the chances of remembering a single package are nil.
Not the fault of the photographer. It's the shared fault of DHL for not putting a contact name on the redirected parcel (there was a contact name on the original label) and the university post room for giving it to god knows who.
True, but there's a touch of the Jim Henson on the photographers part sending negatives and prints in the same package for such an important set of photos. At least you do have some backups with a nice personal provenance, so all's well that ends well.
I'd be a damned sight less reasonable, but then I -am- unreasonable.

I'm glad you have nice albums from Chi and Olly so that this isn't so bad.

If someone in the university opens then at least? You are in them after all.
Here's hoping...
