Now dragonzgrace has an LJ, I'd like to say that Jenny, we had a conversation at least three years ago in the Liberty Bounds which you probably don't even remember. That conversation was a great inspiration to my then 17 stone self in letting me get this far; because you're a demonstration that it's possible.
Thank-you :-)
The remainder of a bar of 70% cocoa fairtrade chocolate (left over from last Sunday's experiment making chocolate mousse) has been lurking in the cupboard all week but has barely registered on the radar. This is the sixth week and something's flipped over in my head. I can eat anything I want, chocolate, onion bhajis, clotted cream, cinnamon and raisin bagels, as long as it's in moderation and I count it - and as a result either I don't want to, or just a taste is enough.
'Known threats' for next week
- Home for a week after Wednesday, and I get to do all the cooking
-
Not much of a threat - it's all I can think of. As Simon's having an operation on his foot that day and won't be able to put weight on it for several days, I'm at home to look after him and do everything, including the cooking. With lots of time to spare, we've put several new recipes on the food plan for next week, and we're trying out an organic veggie box delivery from Abel & Cole, in furtherance of the Search For A Decent Tasting Carrot.
Oh, it's grim up
NorthEast London.
What happened last week
- Four eating-out occasions in four days
- Turned out to be five occasions. Eating out five times and still losing two pounds has to count as a win! Possibly due to really making an effort with the pedometer, to get my daily activity up to a healthy level. Possibly because the human body is a strange and fickle organism, and next week it'll be back to just half a pound again.
- Dreadfully boring three hour work meeting for a project that's actually got a budget
- The meeting didn't happen for me - managed to con co-worker into going on his own. Although with my head in this good state, I don't think any sort of biscuit temptation would have mattered.
