Still alive, but a bit introspective

ellefurtle's exhortation to her FL to write more, here I am. On the sofa, updating LJ for the first time in an age. What I should be doing is putting away the Tesco's shopping that's just been delivered.
forbinproject is exempt from helping due to beavering away on his CIPD work.
I feel as if I've turned into a bit of a hermit, which is ironic given that the last time we did a 'life review' (yeah, laugh it up at the back you free spirits) I worked out that the thing I needed was more sociability. However, as a step towards this I will at least be going to Flay & DeVille tomorrow. No idea what to wear, especially since I'll have been at work during the day and then to Morley College to do my singing in foreign languages course. The Morley class may have to put up with PVC boots and coat, that is if I can get the coat shiny instead of sort of whitish and dull. I do also have a quite splendid bag made out of a military peaked hat.
In hindsight, I'm glad I didn't get into the Birkbeck diploma course for opera performance. It would have been twice as much work as last year, and therefore zero other sociability. Not seeing people makes me (more) judgemental and smug. These are not good character traits.
