A long-overdue update
Oct. 5th, 2007 05:05 pmI hardly ever get time to read LJ anymore. (Mostly, it's read on my Treo, on the train.) And you might have noticed that I don't post much either.
A few things going on in my life, in no particular order:
And I start my opera course at Birkbeck this evening. Every Friday for the next academic year. Am very excited about it.Ephemeral, embodied, engaging emotion publicly. Right outside my comfort zone. Feels right though. Holistic. Finally putting all the bits of myself back together.
A few things going on in my life, in no particular order:
- Wedded bliss continues ;-)
- Simon has his first year's CIPD exams on Monday and Tuesday. He's been working very hard for weeks. In fact, for months!
- Evil Property Developer has gone quiescent, hooray
- My mother can walk short distances without needing a stick and is cheerfully talking about a holiday to Australia next year
- Soul-warming trip up to Manc last weekend where I saw the coven
- Am finally getting round to engaging a builder to do the garden hard landscaping
- The squirrels now know the sounds of scrunching cashew nut packet, so scamper hopefully up the fence towards the house
- Going on a riding holiday to Tuscany in a couple of weeks' time
- Doing yet another Beethoven Ninth next Tuesday, this time for Brenda, again with the English translation by Billy Bragg (that well-known royalist)
- von Dohnanyi pulled out of a concert in Basingstoke (scandal!) and we had to sing a Verdi Requiem instead, with less than 12 hours' notice
- Work is a bit rubbish due to being overrun with consultants
