I am told by [livejournal.com profile] forbinproject that on Thursday morning an ntl monkey came round to fix intermittent reception of Sky One; which had rather distressingly cut out during spikeBuffy and Angel the previous week.

With his job done, and no bananas in the offing, he left.

Not entirely uncoincidentally I suspect, since then the broadband has not worked. According to ntl all their other monkeys have been let out to play for the weekend so we are devoid of reparatory simian visitation until Monday night.

GPRS = Geekworthy Preservation of Roz's Sanity. And I burned the soup whilst wielding the p*a*l*m stylus.

...unrealistic expectations, misunderstanding of what the 'normal' process is. (Actually, make that 'typical' as I'm allergic to the word normal, cf. Michel Foucault).

The two people who I've watched create over a period of time, tapping away on the keyboard while I go about other tasks around the house, are first [livejournal.com profile] jfs and then [livejournal.com profile] forbinproject. Both of them spluuuuuurrge the words out sometimes limited only by the speed at which they type.

Quite reassuring to find that not everyone is like that.
