Sorry for the delay. Unfortunately a holiday, coupled with Colin being rushed into hospital, has completely disrupted my working schedule however, in answer to your email.
You did in fact give notice on monday the twenty eighth not twenty fifth.
We pay to the end of each month so in theory your employment ended on the last day of October. If we take it to the letter of your contract, your probation period should have ended the day before you gave notice and you should have given us one months notice. I have confirmed with my lawyer that you should have given us your notice one week BEFORE the end of the probation period. In any case we need have only paid you until the end of October..
