X-3

Now do I want to see the third X-Men fillum? Am off fillums after two and a half hours of wasted life during which frankly I would rather have been doing anything, yes anything, even cleaning the bathroom (Da Vinci Code) because I didn't read the reviews beforehand. On the other hand it looks like it's got an excellent chance of passing the Mo Movie Measure.

ummmmmm....

Famke Janssen *and* Hugh Jackman? I'm going just for the pretty :)

A number of people whose opinions I trust have rated it highly. Go see it!

C'mon!

Kelsey Grammer as Beast!

How can you not?

Because he'll be playing Frasier?

No, 'cos he's great in general and as such it's all good...

(Sideshow Bob as an example)

;-)

Have you seen the other two X-Men films?
Did you enjoy them?
Are you a devotee of the X-Men comics?

If your answers to the first two are "yes" and the third one is "no" then go see it. I plan to go next week sometime.

He's right you know.

You can't tar all filums with the same brush as TDVC. They each have their very own and individual tar brush of doom.

It's got Vinnie Jones in it. How can it be bad?

I'll get my coat.

If you are a BIG fan of the comics do prepare to be disappointed like I was.

Da Vinci Code wasn't all bad...

It had Ian McKellan.

I've run out of arguements...

That was its only redeming feature.

It's only an hour and 45 long!

It ignores the comics, it jars in places, there are some nice and quite brave twists, there is a kick ass fight scene, there are moments of deliberate comedy that work, it really ignores the comics, LG is top, HJ is top, HB is a babe and utterly top.

It's a good flick, not as good as it could have been perhaps but good enough for brain cheese.

On a slightly different thread, I spent 1 hour and 13 minutes watching Phone Booth this evening, and am glad for it. So don't give up on fillums. Just be thankful that you don't have to watch certain films you'd rather not for your job, over and over and over... I mean, Citizen Kane is a great film, no debate, but really...
Do I sound bitter?
